Cookie notice
This cookie notice explains what cookies are, how techtropy uses them on the website and in the Service, and how you can manage them.

What are cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They keep a website working and give its operators information. In this notice, cookies also means similar techniques that store data in your browser, such as local storage, session storage and IndexedDB.
How we use them
Some of these cookies are strictly necessary for the website to work, others are set only in response to a choice you make. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
The website needs essential cookies to work. They keep you signed in and secure your session. The session cookie expires no later than 30 days after your last visit. A short-lived companion cookie that caches the session expires after 5 minutes. The processing behind them performs the contract about your account (Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The website cannot work without these cookies. They are therefore always active and need no consent under Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.
Preference settings remember a choice you made for your next visit. Your language lives in a cookie that lasts 12 months. Your browser's local storage holds the light or dark theme and your view settings. These are pinned navigation, the send key, motion effects, marks and names in reports, and the last report opened. There we also note that you have seen the cookie notice. These entries arise only from your own actions and are wanted by you (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). The site also keeps a copy of the data you are already looking at in your browser's storage. This way a page appears at once when you return to it. The copy holds nothing you have not already been shown. It is cleared with every new version of the site, after 24 hours at the latest, and is never sent anywhere.
If you talk to the strategy fox on our home page, your browser keeps the conversation in session storage. This way it survives a reload and other pages. During sign-in, session storage also holds your email address, the current step and the page you return to afterwards. Both live only on your device, arise only from your own actions and are deleted when you close the tab.
We do not use optional cookies such as analytics or marketing. We count page views without cookies and without storing anything on your device, as the privacy notice describes. Should we add optional cookies in future, they will be set only with your consent.
